Venus Mini Collection

My professor challenged me to create a three-piece collection inspired by Italian art. I immediately turned to Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. Living in Florence, I’m lucky enough to visit this icon at the Uffizi, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to it. To me, Venus is the ultimate symbol of love, beauty, and femininity—qualities that resonate with me personally and serve as the constant inspiration for my design aesthetic.

"Agora Hills” by Doja Cat has tremendously inspired me, from the styling of the outfits, hair, and makeup to the set design. Everything complements each other perfectly. I’m someone who pays close attention to little details, and I love how this video exhibits such cohesiveness in its details. As a hopeless romantic, this song perfectly encapsulates how I want to interact with my partner; I want to proudly showcase them to the world because I find them so perfect. During my research for my mini collection, I was feeling deeply romantic with a hint of sass and sweetness. The silhouettes reminded me of the coquette core trend that was highly popular in 2023, as well as the Victorian era, characterized by large and round silhouettes with attention to details such as ruffles, bows, and unique buttons placed intricately. This collection truly reflects who I am at this moment. I feel proud and connected to my feminine energy; I desire love, to feel loved, and to give love. “Agora Hills” allows me to experience all of that, while also embracing the sweet, cute, lovable, sultry, and flirty aspects of myself.
