I want to make a note on my concept for this project. I don't necessarily agree with my concept anymore; the younger woman in me has made peace with her community.

Growing up in the UAE, I often felt alienated from my community. My style, my actions, and my lifestyle existed outside the traditional norm, which frequently met with hostility and judgment from my peers. This mini-collection is a direct response to the harassment and bullying I faced as a teenager for simply expressing my identity through fashion. It is a rebellion against that aggression—a statement that our beautiful cultures and religions do not condone the shaming of young women. This project is my voice as a 'rebelling Arab girl,' reclaiming my narrative and turning past pain into a powerful, wearable manifesto.

Scarlet's Secret

"Agora Hills” by Doja Cat has tremendously inspired me, from the styling of the outfits, hair, and makeup to the set design. Everything complements each other perfectly. I’m someone who pays close attention to little details, and I love how this video exhibits such cohesiveness in its details. As a hopeless romantic, this song perfectly encapsulates how I want to interact with my partner; I want to proudly showcase them to the world because I find them so perfect. During my research for my mini collection, I was feeling deeply romantic with a hint of sass and sweetness. The silhouettes reminded me of the coquette core trend that was highly popular in 2023, as well as the Victorian era, characterized by large and round silhouettes with attention to details such as ruffles, bows, and unique buttons placed intricately. This collection truly reflects who I am at this moment. I feel proud and connected to my feminine energy; I desire love, to feel loved, and to give love. “Agora Hills” allows me to experience all of that, while also embracing the sweet, cute, lovable, sultry, and flirty aspects of myself.
